Website and waitlist terms
Last updated 10 October 2026
What these cover
These terms cover your use of borrro.com and the borrro waitlist. borrro is planned as a marketplace for renting everyday things from people nearby, but it has not launched. There are no live listings, no bookings, no payments and no app yet. Terms for renting and listing will be published before they apply to anything you do on borrro.
Joining the waitlist
- Joining is free and does not commit you or us to anything.
- You can ask to be removed at any time by emailing [email protected].
- We do not promise a launch date, a service area, or that you will get access. Your place in line reflects when you joined and how many friends joined with your link. It has no cash value, and how access is opened may change as the launch develops.
- The waitlist is for people aged 18 or over.
- Please use your own email address, once. Please do not automate sign-ups or interfere with the site.
Examples on this site
The items, prices, people, ratings and stories on this site are illustrative examples. They are not real listings, real people, real reviews or offers, and they do not show availability anywhere.
Planned features are not promises
Fees, deposits, protection, identity checks, payouts, and cancellation and late-return rules are not final. What the site says about them describes how borrro is planned to work. The final rules will be published before bookings open, and they will apply to bookings and listings, not these notes.
How renting is planned to work (not yet in force)
- Every charge shown first. You will see each amount before you confirm a booking. A refundable deposit, where one applies, is shown separately from fees. It is security money, not a charge for using borrro.
- Protection is not insurance. If a protection fee is offered, it will not be described as insurance unless a real insurance product applies. borrro will not promise cover that has not actually been contracted.
- Handover and return are recorded. The plan is to record condition at handover and at return with timestamped photos or video and a checklist, so both sides have the same evidence.
- Problems are decided on evidence. If something goes wrong, both the owner and the renter are heard. Neither is blamed on an allegation alone, technical faults are separated from damage, and normal wear is not treated as damage. Automated tools may help organise a case, but disputed or high-impact decisions are for a person, with the reason and the rule applied recorded.
- Published policies. Cancellation, late-return and no-show rules, and the time limits for raising a claim, will be published before bookings open.
These points describe intent. They become binding only when they appear in the final terms for renting and listing.
The site itself
We take care to keep this site accurate, but it describes a product in development and may change or contain mistakes. We may change, pause or remove parts of the site, or these terms, at any time. If a change materially affects people on the waitlist, we will email them.
